Debt Collection Scam worth $6.7 million in the US

A debt collection scam has netted $6.7 million in New York. The illegal debt colleciton scam illegally coerced over 1,000 people into paying fake debts.  Arent & his partner Wieczkowski bought information from two former employees of Capital Management services (a collections agency). This information was then used to collect fake debts.

All 4 parties involved have been prosecuted and await sentancing - with penalties of up to $500,000 & 25 years in Gaol.
