It is alleged that between January 2008 and April 2011 JP Morgan filed
over 100,000 law suits against credit card holders, and on one day alone
it filed 469 cases. It is alleged the bank was using the legal system
as a "mill" to obtain default judgments and garnishee wages. The bank
is being accused of not checking the accuracy or reliability. The state
of California is attempting to cease the practices and provide recourse
for affected borrowers.
