Form 12A and Default Notices for Consumer Credit Debt Collection

Friday, June 10, 2016 - Posted by Philip Harvey

We have recently come across an instance of a client still using a Form 12 with their Section 88 Default Notice.

We would recommend that everyone in Consumer Credit update to Form 12A.

A summation of when either Notice can be used is:

Date of Contract

Type of Form

Before March 2013

Form 12

or

Form 12A

After March 2013

Form 12A only
